95 an hour 16 hours ago 16 hours ago 16 hours ago The Town of Brookline Library system is seeking customer service oriented professionals for part-time Library Assistant roles at the Main library in Brookline Village and the Coolidge Corner branch, one of the busiest branch libraries in the state.
Staff may be scheduled to work hours at both locations.
Library Assistants perform administrative and support work relating to processing and shelving of library materials; charging and discharging books; circulation functions; assisting patrons with information on collections, policies, procedures, and the use of computers.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, experience working with the public and knowledge of computers is required.
Must be available on some weekends and evenings, including Sundays in the summer and available to work at both the Main Library and Coolidge Corner.
Hours scheduled are typically 12 to 14 hours per week.
The ability to work patiently and politely with the public and the ability to communicate library policies and procedures effectively is required.
Additional language skills such as Chinese, Spanish, and Russian are a plus.
Knowledge of library systems desirable.
Must have strong technical skills.
$19.
