To manage a highly effective and family friendly main office environment for the Hern ndez After School Program (HASP) through Friends of the Hern ndez, Inc (FOH) at the Hern ndez Dual Language School.
The role will be responsible for excellent customer service and welcoming all families, volunteers, and partners into the program; managing dismissal of students; and weekly data entry related to attendance and other duties.
The Front Desk Assistant will be expected to maintain a full EEC staff file and be available for substituting in a group as needed, but will function in a mostly administrative capacity.
This is a part time role with hours available Monday - Friday from 2:
45pm - 6:
15pm.
Working with bilingual students from ages 5-13.
Responsibilities Maintain a welcoming front office environment for families, staff, volunteers and partners Answer the phone and take messages accordingly for the school and HASP Manage the student dismissal process, ensuring that only approved contacts are picking up students and all students are appropriately signed out Manage the sign in / sign out of all volunteers and partners; ensuring they are sent to the correct location and have identification badges accordingly Compile data reports by checking staff attendance checklists daily, entering attendance weekly, logging incidents/injuries after getting signatures, and other data-related items as directed As needed, support in groups with students Support and ensure a strong Hernandez community by participating and contributing to school events Create a positive environment for students through positive interactions Other duties as assigned Qualifications At least 16 years of age with a valid work permit Excellent written and verbal communication skills and numeracy skills with an attention to detail Strong computer / digital literacy skills with ability to manage data in multiple online platforms Deep commitment to the mission and vision of Friends of the Hern ndez Bilingual Spanish is a requirement for the position Hiring is dependent on ability to pass an EEC Background Reference Check (BRC) and be deemed suitable Compensation and Benefits Growth opportunities for those interested in a teaching or youth development role Access to 401k Retirement Plan upon completion of introductory period (90 days) $18-20 per hour depending on experience and staff qualifications Job Type:
