Modern office setting Collaboration Position Description:
The Opportunity Employment Program Coordinator is a member of MPDC's Community Action Department and will support implementation of youth initiatives affiliated with the Soheil Turner Youth Leadership Institute (STYLI).
OEP serves Opportunity Youth through in-house high school equivalency classes, work readiness training, employment and internship placement and ongoing case management.
Recruitment and Referral Management ? Assist OEP Manager throughout recruitment, screening, and enrollment process for all youth affiliated with the Opportunity Employment Program ? Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local employment and educational entities ? Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies and communication plans to enhance program visibility and attract potential participants.
? Support broad program marketing and communications efforts ? Participate in community initiatives and represent the program in the community.
? Maintains, cultivates, and manages partnerships with community stakeholders throughout Boston HiSET Classes Management ? Coordinate weekly HiSET program activities, and provide support to academic instructors and the OEP Manager.
? Facilitate connections between OEP participants and academic support resources, identifying partnerships that cater to the participants' specific educational needs ? Maintain comprehensive records of participant attendance, conduct, and academic progress, ensuring all data is current and accurately reflects participant performance.
? Assist OEP Manager in identifying partners and connecting youth participants with targeted, academic support resources when necessary ? Uses positive and constructive methods of guidance and motivate youth towards a positive attitude for learning and growth Workforce Development ? Facilitate job readiness and life skills workshops, providing participants with the essential tools for employment success.
? Assist clients in understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and interests ? Provide job search strategies and techniques ? Guide youth through the exploration and application processes for permanent employment and/or post-secondary training, offering personalized support and resources.
? Develop and maintain relationships with employers to create job opportunities for clients.
Participant Data and Administrative Support ? Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of participant data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all communications with the OEP Manager.
? Undertake general office responsibilities, including but not limited to, organizing youth files, overseeing database management, and processing documentation related to youth leaders' work hours.
? Coordinate logistics and support the organization of program-related events, enhancing the overall experience for participants and stakeholders.
? Collaborate closely with the OEP Manager and the program's clinician to implement comprehensive case management plans, addressing the holistic needs of participants.
? The OEP Coordinator will also support MPDC's Youth Workforce Programming and the Community Action team.
