Job Description:
This position requires a highly motivated, energetic, and positive person who will help remediate the clinical data warehouse as part of the organization's Healthcare Enterprise Solution implementation. Incumbent will work as part of a team remediating the clinical, operational and financial data warehouse for the implementation.
The incumbent will work under the guidance of the analytics team as an individual contributor and as part of a team. This position will supplement the internal data warehousing team and will be responsible for developing Informatica code to move and source files to remediate current data warehouse targets and create new ones where appropriate.
Responsibilities include creating Informatica code and modules, interpreting and adhering to specifications, working in a team development environment, leveraging best practices, elegantly handling errors and ensuring on time delivery of code.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Functioning as part of a broader team to remediate Enterprise Data Warehouse
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details
Ensures that development solutions meet defined technical, functional, and service level ?requirements and standards
Provides consistent quality in handoffs between development to deployment and ?operations while incorporating continuous process improvement and feedback
Develop and Performance-tune ETL(Informatica) packages to extract, transform and load source to target stores
Execute unit testing of ETL(Informatica) packages
Participates in meetings, gathering requirements, discussing the issues to be resolved
Acquire in depth impact analysis for projects assigned
Gathers Requirements and models stage and dimensions in the database environment
Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and requirements and raise any blockers or concerns to project manager
Work with project team and management to identify and document benefits, costs and risks associated with solution alternatives, while balancing stakeholder expectations regarding project timeline, cost, and scope.
Develop test strategies and plans and works with technical team to conduct system tests
Has responsibility for the security of medical and financial confidential information
Communicate project status and prepare project administrative materials as needed
Provide quality customer service and serve as an exemplary representative of Information Systems. On-going communication, feedback and follow-through with customers/peers are essential.
Qualifications
Proven track record, and have prior experience working in a complex systems environment
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work with hospital staff at all levels
Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands to successful completion
Three years of experience in ETL methodology for supporting Data Extraction, Transformations and Loading with Informatica PowerCenter in an enterprise team development environment
Experience in source systems analysis and data extraction from sources including flat files and databases
Experience in optimizing data loads
Performance Tuning for ETL processes
Proficiency with Informatica workflow manager, workflow monitor, server manager
Creating, scheduling and controlling workflows, tasks, and sessions
Experience in shell scripting and automation of ETL processes
Hands on experience in design of Data Warehouse/Data Mart, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, ODS, ETL process
Experience in coding using SQL, Procedures/Functions, triggers and Packages
Team player, ability to work individually and meet tight deadlines
Informatica 9.x/8.x/7.x/6.x PowerCenter, WorkFlow Manager, WorkFlow Monitor, Designer, Server Manager, Repository Manager
Oracle and SQL Server databases
Shell Scripts, SQL, PL/SQL
