Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a self starter who has the ability to work independently. You will perform work orders, make apartments ready and interact with vendors and respond to on-call emergencies. Barkan Management Company, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer #321 Please note: All job offers are contingent upon passing a drug and background screen Job Requirements Requirements: - The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in multifamily apartment maintenance. - Strong apartment maintenance skills including general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC and diagnostic. - Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. - Candidate will have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as the ability to perform all the physical requirements of the job including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, reaching, crawling, twisting and standing for varied periods of time. - Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. - On-call alternate weekends required. - Will be available for all snow and ice removal including nights, weekends, holidays and long duration storms. - The preferred candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
