Literacy Specialist- LTS (through at least 5/1)

4.1 Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description Job Description: The Literacy Specialist is responsible for delivering intervention instruction. Duties include but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with teachers to provide instructional support for literacy Meet regularly with building administration to establish and maintain a shared vision for intervention, collaboration, and implementation of the district curriculum Support the literacy leadership teams Analyze and utilize data to monitor student progress and to coordinate instruction and interventions Provide resources for parents to support the home-school connection Assess children throughout the schools and help identify students in need of intervention Differentiate instruction based on assessment data Document intervention work and progress for each child Communicate information about students' progress to families and staff Requirements Qualifications: Ability to provide both small group and individual literacy intervention services to students Familiarity with the Fountas and Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention system (LLI) Experience working with primary, upper elementary and/or middle school students Mass.
