Mental Health Technician

Quick Apply Contract 1 hour ago Full Job Description Duties: The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care supervision, interactions & role modeling to patients; lead therapeutic MHT patient groups; provide primary intervention in patient crisis situation; Provide guidance, direction, and counseling to the residents in addition to functioning as a role model. Document patient's behaviors, conditions & progress in a manner prescribed by policy and clinical standards. Progress notes in the medical record accurately reflect behavioral data as well as activities. Provides hands-on physical care, supervision, crisis intervention, behavior management, & behavior modification as directed by the individual treatment plan & unit program guidelines, employing appropriate verbal and crisis intervention techniques. Maintain professional therapeutic boundaries with patients and families. Take and record vital signs, both manually and with equipment and responsible for q 15 minute checks. Assimilate patient to the unit upon admission. Check patient for contraband and manage patient belongings. Orient patients to the unit & facility with emphasis on procedures & standard practices. Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADL's) as needed. Supervises and assist patients with meals. Monitors visitation in regards to safety. Assure the patient's rights are protected, and act to prevent, identify, and report abuse. Actively support the mission, philosophy, & goals for the hospital & treatment team(s). Communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, & cultural issues. Adhere to facility philosophy, Code of Ethics, Standards of Conduct, Performance Improvement, and corresponding Policies and Procedures. Serves as a preceptor for new employees. Performs other duties as assigned. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
