Peavey Rhythm Master 400 4-Channel Amp Vintage 1984 USA Rare for sale in Brookline, MA

1 of 1
Literally and figuratively, this Peavey Rhythm Master 400 is a true heavyweight. Weighing in at 67 pounds and made in the USA, it's an absolute beast of an amplifier - in all the best ways. And it's in mint condition, inside and out. This amplifier has been in a climate-controlled studio since its purchase, but it's one of the most road-worthy pieces of equipment I've ever seen. Peavey built this thing like a tank. The 210-watt amp was originally designed for jam sessions, allowing four people to plug into its four channels. Due its natural clean articulate tone and the full body of the 15-inch Black Widow driver, its been adopted by pro touring guitarists and pedal steel players globally. The Black Widow speaker at the core of the amp is legendary. Volumes have been written about it and I encourage you to do some online research if you're unfamiliar with it. It's a marvel. o Four totally independent channels. o 210 watts. o DDT compression. o 4-ohm Black Widow Super Structure 15" speaker. o 3/4"-thick wood cabinet covered with 34-ounce heavy-duty Tolex. o Channels one and two have pre-EQ send and return, which allows effects devices to be interfaced before the equalization so that maximum coloration may be achieved. o The master reverb control affects all four channels and sets the amount of reverb return or overall reverb level. o The master level control affects all four channels by setting the overall gain of the amplifier. o Patented three-spring reverb unit. The preamp has four separate channels, each of of which has controls for Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Reverb. It's very easy to dial in your tone. Add to that the Pull Bright on the Volume control and you have a lot of tones available on each channel. For guitarists, you can play the channel volume against the master for a slight clip. The onboard Reverb adds depth to rhythms and great tails to leads.Dimensions:Height: 20"Width: 26"Depth at the bottom: 11"Depth at the top: 9.5"Weight: 67 poundsManufactured in 1984, this is a rare classic gem in perfect shape. Come on over and check it out. Hearing is believing.
